Nationals 07, Tenby YC –by Caroline Marriage

Memories of Tenby:

Oh so windy with much capsizing but we became very nifty
at righting the boat. Choppy seas with nose-diving a regular problem so
sitting back as well as hiking were the constant theme. Windward mark
rounding was always difficult with so many boats around and very choppy
water and the leeward mark, right or left, was adventurous each time.

Tenby SC were excellent hosts and very welcoming. However boat-park space and
changing room space were always a challenge and the Club Bar a squash and
not conducive to lengthy socialising. It was good to see some old friends
and make new ones also. Tenby is a spectacular place but heaving with
tourists and the better restaurants hugely expensive and not really worth
it. All-in-all a great experience and I feel much fitter for it!
