Rules: Racing will take place under the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS 2005-2008), the Rules of the Class and the prescriptions of the RYA except as any of these are changed by the Chichester Harbour Series (CHS) Sailing Instructions, by this Notice of Race and by the Chichester Harbour Series (CHS) Trophy Rules 2007.
The setting of spinnakers to windward is prohibited

Entries: Entry is open to current members of BSC, ISC and HISC by invitation to Chichester Harbour Federation Clubs.
Entrants shall certify that insurance including third party cover for not less than £2,000,000 is held. All boats shall comply with the current RS200 Class Rules.

Racing Area: In the main area of Chichester Harbour, in the vicinity of Ellanore racing mark. Courses will be set by the Race Officer in accordance with the CHS Sailing Instructions and CHS Trophy Rules 2007 which are available by email from manager@boshamsailingclub.co.uk and from the Committee Boat on the day.

Scoring System: The Low Points system will be used as amended by the CHS Trophy Rules 2007.

The overall result for this event will count towards the CHS Trophy 2007.

Personal Buoyancy: All competitors shall wear personal buoyancy. A wetsuit/drysuit does not constitute personal buoyancy.

Disclaimer of Liability: Competitors are entirely responsible for their own safety, whether afloat or ashore, and nothing reduces this responsibility. It is for competitors to decide whether their boat is fit to sail in the conditions in which it will find itself. By launching or going to sea competitors confirm the boat is fit for those conditions and that they are competent to sail and compete in them. Nothing done by the organisers can reduce the responsibility of the owners and/or competitors, nor will it make the organisers responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury however it may have occurred, as a result of the boat taking part in the racing. The organisers encompass everyone helping to run the event. The provision of patrol boats does not relieve owners and competitors of their responsibilities.
