CYC,
Snowflake. Race 7 & 8 (13 Jan)
Forecast: S, 30-40 knots. Racing on…You bet!!! 45 boats (Merlins to Oppies)
out racing for races 7 and 8 of the Snowflake series. Andy Fitz and Andy Shaw
keeping up the pressure at the head, currently lying 4th and 5th had a right
tussle with each other in the first race. Andy Shaw with Rosie Sibthorp crewing
pulled back Fitz, after a port hand stunner, then gaining the lead before Fitz
puts in a move on the final mark to reclaim the lead and beating Shaw/ Sibthorp
by 5 seconds. Race 8 saw all four Itchenor 200’s within 6 boat lengths
at the 1st windward mark, Shaw, Neall, Fitzgerald & Darling, before various
minor gear and mental issues leaving Chris to win the Itchenor 200 division
with a 4th in race....Results
